Dress Selection

It is essential not to be over dress or undress for such an importance event. I being petite in size am having headaches to get the right dress. Factors that I have consider when choosing the right dress:
1) Will I look over dress?
2) Should I go for sweet/ elegant/ lady-like dress?
3) Short/ long dress that suits my size and height?
4) Price is a concern as well as I will be wearing it for ROM and PS only.
5) Worth getting a branded dress or MTM?

After various researches in the net, lastly I had decided to choose Dress Me Up for the entire ROM package! Hope make up and dress turns out perfectly on my ROM day.

Overall review : They have a wide range of dresses range from Brides Maid to ROM to Wedding Gown ! What i understand from Sandy (My MUA) aka the owner of Dress Me Up is that all her dresses are made in China hence the cost is cheaper as compared to designer pieces.

Sandy and her sister is kind enough to let me try on as many dresses as i wish and they do help to comments and give suggesstions as well. They even let me take photos so that i can further consider.

Well indeed i choosen a short princess style dress (this was recommanded by both sandy and her sister) .

OUR ROM Venue Selections

Two venues were being shortlisted for our solemnization. They are Good Wood Park hotel & Swiss Merchant Court.

GWP

We were pretty disappointed with Good Wood Park; firstly the bouquet manager did not mange to meet us personally during our appointment. He appointed a lady who is more junior and inexperience to show us around. Well maybe he has another “bigger commission” business to attend to whereas we are only holding solemnization whereby profit margin isn’t that favorable. Apart from the unprofessional service by them, we were pretty disappointed with the poolside layout. Personally I feel that it’s isn’t much privacy too. Below are some of the photos taken by us during our unpleasant visits to GWP.

Initially both Thomass and Myself did not pay much hope for Swiss Merchant Court Hotel as well. Well due to the previous unpleasant visits to GPW, we are lowing our expectation. However to our surprise we have a very pleasant visit by Miss Lydia.
She does response to our needs, requirements and brings us to see the poolside. Well she suggested us to meet her that day as she is having the solemnization to take place in the evening. We have the exact feel of the place on how it is being setup. We just love the decorations. After viewing the poolside, she brought us to the function room whereby we can have our private 8 course Chinese dinner after the solemnization. After the whole visit, Lydia brought us to the lobby severing us drinks and explains their services and what kind of needs we are requiring. This is the kind of service that I’m expecting and we were overjoyed for her excellent service. Hence decide to sign the package with Swiss Merchant Court Hotel.
